Special recipe - Homemade Panettone

Christmas is coming. It's time to gather the family, socialize with friends and enjoy everything that this time of year has to offer. Like Christmas dinner, for example. And how about putting a homemade panettone next to those wonderful dishes? With that in mind, we prepared a recipe that will make everyone's mouth water. Enjoy!

RECIPE – HOMEMADE PANETTON

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg of sifted wheat flour
  • 3 eggs (large)
  • 1 cup (American) sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 250 ml of warm milk
  • 50g of biological yeast
  • 300g of candied fruits (or chocolate cubes)
  • 250g raisins (preferably seedless)
  • 20ml panettone essence (optional)
  • zest of 1 lemon

METHOD OF PREPARATION

  1. Beat the eggs, sugar, butter (or margarine), milk, yeast and essence in a blender for approximately 30 seconds.
  2. In a large container, place the sifted flour, make a hole in the center and add the beaten ingredients.
  3. Knead well until the dough comes off your hands.
  4. Then add the fruits, raisins and lemon zest.
  5. Distribute the dough into pudding molds with a central hole, greased with margarine, until halfway through the pan.
  6. Let it grow, until it double the volume.

Make an X cut on top of the dough, brush beaten yolks and bake until golden.
